Reclaimed Oak Wine Rack - £SOLD
Ref no. 2452
This ancient piece of reclaimed oak was previously used as a chock for wood built ships at Hull Docks. It has bottle holes at two opposite sides.
"Blaydes Bounty"
The Blaydes family were once the leading shipbuilder and merchant in Hull during the 17th and 18th centuries. The Royal Navy was a major client for the Blaydes and the best known ship they built was the infamous "Bounty" whose crew led by Fletcher Christian mutined in 1789 against Captain William Bligh.
