About Rack and Ruin
Richard Greaves and Lesley Wood are based in a 16th century property within the heart of North Yorkshire. Together they head up ‘Rack and Ruin’. They keep the company on an individual personal level which ensures customer satisfaction.
‘Rack and Ruin’ was born in 2004 when Richard Greaves, a five star hotel chef & publican of ten years and Lesley Wood, a commercial print salesperson, were looking for a change in career and decided to combine forces.
The concept was shaped when they purchased an old property and spent a great deal of time sympathetically renovating the building. Once complete they started looking for finishing touches, they specifically wanted a suitable wine rack for the property, but were unable to find anything appropriate. They knew what they liked so they set about creating their own instead!
They have since made and designed over 150 bespoke wine racks for customers across the UK.
